Pricing and inclusions

How much does TV wall mounting cost in Perth?

Cost depends on TV size, wall type, and whether cables need to be hidden. Most standard installs cost between $358 (small TV with cables in visible AV trunking) and $708 (massive XXL TV with completely hidden cables). This includes bracket, cables, cable management, parts, labour and GST.

What’s included in the price?

Premium bracket (Sanus, Digitek or Secura), all cables and parts, professional installation, full system test of your devices, and GST. No call-out fees, no surprise charges.

How much does it cost to swap an existing wall-mounted TV for a new one?

Many people assume one large TV can be swapped straight onto an existing bracket, but it’s often not the case. Budget for a full new install — the bracket may need changing, the height may need adjusting for a larger screen, and you may need new 4K HDMI leads. Any labour or parts not used will be deducted from the final cost.

Does it cost more for a Saturday installation?

No — Saturdays are the same price as weekdays. But book in advance, as Saturdays are our most popular day and book up fast.

Do you offer pensioner discounts?

Yes — we offer pensioners a 10% discount on TV wall mounts and antenna installations. Just mention it when you book.

Do you accept card payments?

Yes — James carries an EFTPOS machine. Card or bank transfer on the day.

Do you offer a warranty on TV installs?

Yes — workmanship is guaranteed and we’re fully insured. If anything’s not right after the install, we come back and fix it.

Brackets & installation

Do I need to supply anything?

No — we provide everything: bracket, cables, fixings, the lot. You just need to be home, have access to a power point near the TV (or let us know in advance if you don’t), and have someone available to help lift if it’s a very large screen.

Can I supply my own bracket?

Generally no. We get over 500 of these requests every year and our experience is that pre-purchased brackets are usually lower-quality, not faster to install, and don’t actually save money. We don’t sell brackets separately because they’re included in our pricing — and we guarantee the install, including the bracket. If a high-quality bracket came with your TV, we may use it; otherwise, we use ours.

Can you mount a TV on brick, gyprock or tiled walls?

Yes — TVs can be safely mounted on brick, double brick, concrete, gyprock (plasterboard) and tiled walls when installed correctly. Brick uses heavy-duty masonry anchors. Gyprock is fixed into timber or metal studs. Tiles use special drill bits to prevent cracking, with the mount secured into the structure behind. We assess the wall before drilling.

What is the ideal height for a wall-mounted TV?

In a lounge, aim to have your eyes fall between the centre and lower third of the screen when seated. In a bedroom you’re often semi-reclined, so it’s comfortable to mount the TV slightly higher. For above-fireplace mounts, a tilt bracket gives the best line of sight. James fine-tunes the exact height on the day for your specific room.

My TV is huge — how do you lift it onto the wall?

For very large TVs (75″+), please have someone home who’s comfortable helping lift. Homeowners need to be present anyway to confirm location and height.

How long does the installation take?

Most jobs are completed in 1–2 hours, depending on wall type and complexity. Most jobs are scheduled within 1–5 working days, subject to suburb and access.

How do I prepare my home for the install?

Measure your TV and wall space, think about the ideal viewing height, ensure there’s a power point nearby (let us know if not), move furniture or fragile items from the area, plan where other devices (consoles, soundbars) will sit, and let us know your wall type if you know it.

What about apartments and strata buildings?

We install in apartments regularly. Allow some extra time for building access and parking — restrictions often apply in larger buildings. Our van needs 2.2m clearance and flat parking (no up or down ramps). Let us know building specifics when you book.

Cables and power

Can you hide cables in the wall?

Cables can only be hidden if there’s a gap in the wall. Double-brick cavity walls — yes. New builds with conduit in place — yes. Internal single-brick walls — usually not, but cables can be housed in cosmetic AV trunking below the TV. Apartments follow the same rule. We confirm what’s possible during the quote.

Do I need an electrician?

Usually no. If we’re mounting a bracket, managing cables, and plugging into an existing power point, no electrician is required. You only need a licensed electrician if you want a new power point installed behind the TV, an existing outlet relocated, or any in-wall mains wiring. We’ll advise if it’s needed.

What is an HDMI lead — and which one do I need?

Most installs use 3m 4K or 8K HDMI leads. 4K HDMI (v2.0) handles all current 4K standards — Foxtel, gaming, soundbars, streaming. 8K HDMI (v2.1) supports eARC for Dolby ATMOS, PS5, Xbox Series X, and high-refresh gaming. We supply the right one as part of the install.
